Reconstitution Guide
Allow vial to reach room temperature
Remove the lyophilized peptide vial from cold storage and let it equilibrate for 15–30 minutes to prevent the rubber stopper from cracking.
Draw bacteriostatic water
Using a sterile syringe, draw the calculated amount of bacteriostatic water (0.9% benzyl alcohol). Swab both stoppers with alcohol first.
Inject slowly down the vial wall
Angle the needle so the water runs down the side of the vial onto the powder. Avoid a direct stream that can damage the peptide.
Gently swirl — do not shake
Rotate the vial slowly until fully dissolved. Vigorous shaking can denature the peptide. Let the vial settle before drawing.
Store reconstituted vial
Refrigerate between 2°C and 8°C. Most reconstituted peptides are stable for 28–30 days depending on the compound.
Draw dose with an insulin syringe
Use the draw volume calculated above. Expel air bubbles, verify unit markings, and record the draw volume in your research log.
